Ford Escort MKI Group 2

The first project completed by MY Vintage ! The main goal was to build a Group 2 in the spirit of the sixties. Based on a civil car and after looking the original regulations, MY Vintage started the build of a classic rally car which fulfils the current safety regulations. At every step of the project, our customer has been involved and its desires were realised with the help of the best providers present on the market. Under the bonnet, you will find a 2 liter BDG which produces around 275 BHP. Enough to excel in the numerous historic rallies our customer takes part of.

Bought in spares by our customer this 1980 MKII Ford Escort has undergone a total reassembly work in our workshop. MY Vintage built a new bespoke electrical wire and, new interior fittings, complete exhaust system and added two Weber carbs. The owner wanted to create an hybrid car with a two liter Pinto engine and a Quaife 5 speed gearbox. Decorated with “period” stickers and extended wheel arches, this Escort looks stunning!
