Based on the convertible version which was already inthe catalog, the manufacturer develops a funny roadster with simple and seducing body. The interior is refined to reduce the weight to the maximum. From the commercialization in 1954, the Speedster (contraction of the words &#8220;speed&#8221; and &#8220;roadster&#8221;) has lot of success in the races as well is the californian streets : an automotive myth is born ! Sold until 1958, the Speedster has been hardly produced in 4200 units !<\/p>\n<p>Now the car is particularly sought after and you won&#8217;t find an original one for less than 500 000 euros ! Its extremely high price makes the Speedster one of the most copied cars of the world. Among the replicas, the best is found alongside the worst with numerous shortened Volkswagen ch\u00e2ssis supporting fiberglass replica. The car which was offered by MY Vintage makes the difference with the other realisations. Built by the californian factory Beck, it stands on a tubular chassis. Its engine is a 2 liter type 4 out of a VW bus with two weber carbs which develops around 100 BHP, enough to go fast with so much lightness. Its quality of finish makes it exclusive. That what Evert, our young customer, was looking for. This enthousiast didn&#8217;t hesitate and fell in love with this Speedster.
